BeersByMe uses location while you use the app to find nearby bars and prices. The current app does not request background location. You can change location permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Contributor profiles are private by default. If you choose to make yours public, other users may discover your chosen username, public display name, contribution statistics and public contribution activity.
You can block, unblock and report contributors. Blocking is private and suppresses social discovery, following, activity and personalized verification signals between the accounts. Reports are sent privately for moderation.
Signed-in users can delete their BeersByMe account from Account Settings in the app. Historical crowdsourced price observations may remain after the account identity is detached so price history is not falsely rewritten. Safety records may be retained where reasonably necessary.
BeersByMe prices are crowdsourced observations and may be outdated or incorrect. Freshness, confidence and verification signals help you evaluate them, but they are not a guarantee of a bar's current price.
BeersByMe does not expose a contributor's current or live location through its social features. A public contribution can identify the bar associated with that specific contribution.
